Qualifying with the AAT in 2011 and then setting up my own accountancy practice within the same year. I truly believe accountancy should be open and transparent for the business owner to understand their figures.I’ve helped directors understand their Director Loan Accounts and subsequent tax implications, helped identify errors in the Gross Profit percentages and identified issues with stock management all resulting in the continued growth of the business.I’m a true believer in technology being there to help not hinder and with the introduction of cloud based accountancy programmes I was an early adopter of Xero. My practice was 100% cloud based using apps for data submission, cashflow forecasting, data extraction, employee expenses control, mileage tracking and stock management. We also rolled out G-suite to clients to remove the need of spreadsheets and unnecessary email usage. Our bookkeeping and administration reduced by over two days per week bringing in these changes.We fully rebranded to Numerical Insights in 2018 and then I sold the company a year later. I am still passionate about providing forward thinking financial services to SME’s and offer a practical approach for day to day accounting. I am keen to empower businesses to take the lead in their own growth and development.Since 2019 I have been working in my role as a Financial Controller - putting in processes, policies and procedures to enable the directors to make fully informed decisions on where the company is heading. Within Goldstar, I help multiple corporate clients migrate from standalone accountancy packages to a fully synchronised ERP system; helping these companies use technology for finance where possible, saving them time and money.
