Sunrise Consulting was founded in 2008 as a result of a conversation with Kenneth LeBlanc of the Workers' Compensation Appeals Tribunal. As an Employment Counsellor for persons with disabilities I often worked with injured workers. This association would often lead to the need for a work readiness assessment to determine exactly what the worker was capable of, and if the worker could reasonably expect to gain employment. These reports would then be used to support the worker during appeals hearings before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Tribunal. When I decided to leave my counsellor's position Kenny suggested that I set up my own consulting firm. With that suggestion Sunrise Consulting was born. The name was chosen to reflect that each day is a new start, a chance to begin a new. Since it's inception in 2008 I have expanded the services offered to include proposal development, preparation and facilitation of assertiveness classes, portfolio development, and other team building exercises. As a lifelong learner I have taken every opportunity to increase my knowledge base. Sunrise Consulting Assessment & Facilitation Services offers training for Caregivers, both professional and at home, in Alzheimer & Dementia Care, Palliative Care, and report writing. As an experienced Accreditation Coordinator I also offer support and guidance for Accreditation certification.
