Appointed in 2008 to help serve as the District 1 representative on a 17 member committee to recommend budget reductions, priortizations, and fiscal policy to the El Paso County Board of Commissioners. - Recommended budget reductions to mid-year 2008 budget. - Made budget priortization recommendations for 2009 budget that resulted in reduction of 13 departments to 4 department. It has also resulted in more joint cooperation between the City of Colorado Springs and El Paso County governments.- Currently working on fiscal policy and 2010 budget recommendations.
