A former senior manager in social care with real insight into operational delivery of social care services. Through this experience a range of skill sets had been developed with a particular focus on strategic and operational leadership, quality assurance; commissioning; self assessment and evaluation; and the development and delivery of services.Taking this experience I set up my own company WELV Consulting Ltd with the aim of supporting public sector organisations to translate legislation and policy into day to day practice. This is achieved through a wide range of activities including: training and development; coaching and mentoring; policy and procedure development; service evaluation; and consultancy support. Having taken a change of direction in 2024 I am now leading on mental health workforce transformation in Cheshire and Merseyside - bringing strategic workforce planning approaches and operational delivery together to inspire, attract, recruit, train, retain and reform the workforce now and in the future Being an active vice-chair of governors in a local secondary school, leading on safeguarding, children looked after and pupils with additional learning needs provides an opportunity to shape the future of learners Aside to a professional career I have over 15 years experience in motorsport as a competitor for almost ten years and in a strategy role leading on a range of aspects associated with rallying including: competitor liaison officer; championship co-ordinator and sector official.
