Communications Manager 2011 - 2019Executed internal and external communications program for all five divisions of CertainTeed. Manage agencies, press releases, media relations and serve as back-up spokesperson for Company.• Produced marketing brochure and video for a Multi-Comfort Home build in partnership with Penn State University at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. Led the team of communications managers from the partner companies. This was the first project of it’s nature at the Navy Yard.• Had oversight over the public relations program and third-party consultants to create consistency in the brand across the five product groups within CertainTeed. Team produced 300+ press releases annually.• As part of Corporate Social Responsibility outreach, worked with Habitat for Humanity to build a two-family home in Chester, PA with CertainTeed products and volunteer labor. This included convincing management to allow employees to volunteer during business hours. This was the first time this was allowed and has become a regular process.Supervisor - Corporate Marketing Communications 2008 - 2011Manage internal communications program including content development, newsletters, personnel bulletins, and executive videos and speeches.• Created a campaign to help employees and families in Joplin, MO following the tornado in 2010. This included internal stories and communications as well as a call for donations across all locations. Coordinated the trucking of the donations to Joplin with partner trucking companies.• Helped create the social media program including the Building Knowledge Blog (https://blog.certainteed.com/2019/01/a-special-homecoming-a-home-built-for-an-american-hero/, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn presence. Grew these to more than 10,000 followers.
