Business Continuity Manager
CurrentAs the firm's Business Continuity Manager, I am responsible for the UK, Ireland, and Middle East business continuity (BC) processes, procedures, decisions and activities to ensure that the firm can continue to function through an operational interruption.I:-Maintain BC Plans (BCP) tailored to the firm's specific needs and operational environment, regularly reviewing/updating to incorporate best practices and address emerging threats/risks-Conduct risk assessments, identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities through business impact scenarios-Maintain our Business Impact Analysis (BIAs) which involves collaborating with key stakeholders and department heads while understanding the financial, operational and reputational consequences of disruptions-Develop and deliver an exercise program, testing BCPs, BIAs and BC documentation, to ensure they are fit for purpose, accurate, and effective. -Have compiled a BC engagement and training programme, to ensure those with BC roles/responsibilities have the required competencies to do so-Conduct post-incident/post-exercise reviews, making recommendations for future improvement-Lead the region on all things BC during both BAU and in times of crisis, providing expert guidance and support -Work with the procurement team to assess the BCPs of critical third party vendors and suppliers to mitigate associated risks-Ensure the firm's practices align with all BC applicable compliance requirements and keep up to date with new legislation in relation to BC and disaster recovery-Maintain a thorough and detailed knowledge of BC working practices and keep up to date with latest thinking-Liaise with professional bodies and local authorities to maintain awareness and to foster good relationships-Assist the Business Development team with BC elements of bids for new business and respond to client enquires about Dentons BC Capabilities-Maintain, review, and update our ISO22301 compliant management system
