Primary responsibilities:• Project engineer leading projects from concept design through to construction. These include projects varying in size from internal modifications, justification of existing structures for additional stories, and new builds.• Responsibilities include producing calculation packs for building control submission and structural drawings and Stage Reports from feasibility through to construction level information. • Present monthly updates to client teams; attend bi weekly design team meetings, providing updates and solutions to the structural queries. Projects:• Kings Walk Estate (Chelsea, London) - RC flat slab frame with transfer slabs to the rear. Proposed structure is above areas of a retained RC building with reuse of the structural grid. Required justification of existing foundations and strengthening to the existing structure.• 11-12 St James Square (Westminster, London) – Internal alterations to Grade II and II* listed structures including a feature steel stair from LGF to L01, steel plate cantilever landing stairs and modifications to the basement drainage layout. Taken from RIBA Stage 2 to Stage 4. • 6-10 St Andrews Street (City of London) - Additional storey added to an existing building and a large sprinkler tank and pile foundations in the basement. Justification of the existing RC structure for the proposed loading and design of a steel frame and metal deck extension. Taken through to construction. • Highgate Studios (Camden, London) - Scheme consisted of massing added to 3 plots, resulting in justification of existing cast iron columns and load bearing masonry walls. 3 plots were to be demolished and rebuilt as new RC flat slab frames, and a timber pavilion. Key drivers were minimising the upfront-embodied carbon to achieve LETI 2030 target and limiting the impact of the extensions on the existing structure and foundations.

Primary responsibilities:• Lead design engineer on a large mix-use redevelopment on Kings Road, London. Acting as resident engineer during construction. Responsibilities included attending site multiple times a week, dealing with any issues on site. Producing the design and detailing for the structural packages and attending weekly design team meetings.• Direct manager for an intern on their year placement, provided daily tasks and frequent development reviews. • Designed the RC core structure for a large high-rise office building in London.Projects:• 196-222 Kings Road – Mixed-use development with a retained 1930s façade. New double storey basement excavation across the whole site. Many transfers within the four buildings above to provide column free areas. Taken through to construction. • 10 Lewis Cubitt Square – Commercial 10 storey steel frame new build with metal deck slabs and an RC core. Taken through to construction.

7 weeks internship with the Fire Engineering team in Bristol. • Produced mark ups of fire compartmentation drawings.• Wrote reports for submission to Clients.• Developed my understanding of CFD focusing on the program PyroSim (FSD).• Worked with the team in Bristol and also produced technical reports to be used by Directors and engineers alike across the UK Fire team.• Improved on my technical writing and communication during the internship.

Comparing physical scale and numerical models for understanding behaviour of complex hydraulic flows, LeedsCreated a 3D model of hydraulic structures and ran simulations on the geometries to see the flow-effects., using the software:• LIDAR remote sensor: to capture multiple point clouds of the weir to be used• ScanMaster: to register the scans into one point cloud• Blender: to create the 3D geometry of the registered point cloud• ParaView: to identify the domain over which the fluid may flow and set up the simulation• DualSPHysics: to generate fluid simulation then viewed on ParaView

Comparing terrestrial LiDAR and photogrammetry for constructing hydraulic modeling geometry (Summer 2016)The summers internship focused on the use of photogrammetry to produce a workable scan to run SPH on, whilst also consolidating LiDAR scanning techniques. I compared the two methods of scanning to determine the best method due to a number of criteria. Software used and learnt included:• Faro LiDAR scanner: to produce point clouds of the weir• SCENE LiDAR: to register the scans• 3DF Zephyr Pro: to register photographs taken for use in photogrammetry
