COOP Careers is a career-accelerating fellowship offered in-person and online that provides free data analytics courses, certifications, and training to help students develop in-demand data analytics skills. COOP’s Data Analytics curriculum is comprehensive and well-structured, covering both theoretical concepts and practical tools used in the field. Fellows gain mastery over skills such as spreadsheets, SQL, Tableau and R programming.

As a student manager I am in charge of managing talented student workers in the MakerSpace. My job is to mentor and train my fellow workers on skills such as 3D printing, Laser Cutting, Cricut, Arduino Workshops, etc.

As an academic technology support specialist I provide support on technologyrelated questions to faculty, students and staff, as well as communitymembers. This includes troubleshooting software issues, consultation onsoftware usage, creating multimedia content, etc. This position is also heavilyinvolved in the operation of the Wilson Library Makerspace.

My job is very heavily involved with all of the operations at the Wilson Library Makerspace. My responsibilities included providing technical support for 3D printers, Laser Cutters, 3D scanners, Button Makers, DIY craft equipment and other loT devices at the Makerspace. I have to be an expert at instructions, orientation and/or workshops on makerspace technologies for students and staff. I also provide academic technology related support to faculty, staff, students and community members such as Blackboard, Qualtrics, Digication, MS Office, Adobe Suites, Web content development, SnagIt, Camtasia, and other related academic technology software and tools. This includes troubleshooting software issues, consultation on software usage, creating multimedia content, etc. I assist in developing computer applications such as dynamic web applications, mobile apps, virtual reality related projects. Lastly, I also have to participate and assist in community engagement activities such as Makerfaire, robotic summer camps as well as providing solutions to solve real life problems using IoT devices and Raspberry Pi.
