Vicky Lee is an experienced documentary filmmaker based in New York City. Her recent short film, In Loving Memory (of Who We Used to Be), has been selected for the Asian American International Film Festival and DOC NYC. Her film has been awarded Best Short Documentary by Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival and New Filmmaker by the Nitehawk Shorts Festival. Vicky's previous short documentaries have also been selected for Tribeca Film Festival, DOC NYC, Hamptons International Film Festival, and more.Her work reflects on the nuances of life and brings awareness to the overlooked, forgotten, raw forms of the everyday. Her work also touches on how memories intertwine with culture and identity.Most recently, she produced a food and travel series, SPICE ROAD, now streaming on PBS Food and ITVS Independent Lens.She is currently an associate producer at Ken Burns' production company, Florentine Films, and focuses on archival research.
