I have over twenty-nine years of experience as an early childhood educator in pre-k and elementary school settings serving diverse communities. I have extensive experience guiding young children through inquiry-based and hands-on learning methods using multi-faceted mediums—incorporating art, literacy, math, and science to teach children about what interests them. My approach to teaching and learning focuses on play-based classroom environments and how they encourage and nurture different modes of learning. I have worked with teams of teachers and specialists in pre-k and kindergarten classrooms where I have designed, planned, and set up multi-sensory and interdisciplinary learning environments and delivered special support services to children. I bring a deep commitment to social justice in early childhood education settings through extensive experience with history, anti-bias, and anti-racist curriculum development and implementation. I have a passion for teaching around issues of race, gender, etc. I am in a position with all these hands-on knowledge and experience to be a mentor and coach to parents, give children a  full social justice experience, school and other places support with training and consulting around race gender, and social change and continue the presentation work that I began twenty years ago.
