The primary features are a youth center, a hot meal program, a learning center, and computer lab. In addition, LCC operates several Milwaukee Public Schools Community Learning Centers, (CLC) programs increase student achievement and learning, provide alternatives from being home alone, and offer safe haven from unwanted influences. Violence Free Zone is part of a national network of Violence-Free Zones established by the National Center for Neighborhood Enterprise (NCNE) in Washington D.C. MVFZ provides individual counseling, street mediation/outreach, anti-gang presentations and gang recognitions/awareness trainings.
