Working on a new Graph database engine. As a Software Engineer at Arnia, I contribute to the development and optimization of our advanced graph database engine. My work involves a mix of hands-on coding, architectural design, and performance tuning to ensure that the database works efficiently and reliably. I have made significant contributions with over 300 commits and have been directly responsible for the following development tasks:- Performance Enhancement: Contributed to the engine architecture, for better performance. Some of the performance changes are: implemented a new read-performant page buffer, modified in-memory containers for faster access, optimized topology access, optimized visibility check on server, implemented a custom high performance topology iterator that avoids deadlocks, implemented operators that optimize runtime for some running cases such as variable-length pruning- Graph Query Planner: Contributed to the query planner. My contribution is mainly in generating plan permutations, fetching statistics from the server and analyzing costs of each partial plan on the client.- Functional Tasks: Implemented inheritance in graph databases for both vertices and edges. Also contributed to tasks related DML, checkdb tool, custom graph query functions, support where match (...) predicate.- Study research papers and competitors
