As a Data Scientist and Consultant, I develop and implement high-quality data-driven solutions to fulfill client requirements and business needs. My roles include:Project A• Developed a segmentation model to cluster customers based on trading behaviours using Jupyter Notebook on AWS Sagemaker • Developed automation scripts in AWS Lambda and configured execution times in AWS EventBridge to ensure segmentation model is retrained with new data at predefined times• Developed REST API’s in AWS Lambda and hosted on AWS API Gateway that returns sentiment scores based on queried stocks and predict cluster numbers given trading data of new customers. • Managed and configured authorization of users that access the API’s using Amazon Cognito. • Used Apache jMeter to perform load testing of API’s to ensure API’s are within acceptable thresholds under load• Authored and documented User Acceptance Test (UAT) cases and Knowledge Transfer (KT) documents for client • Maintain version control of codes using GitHub. Project B• Spearheaded developments of a Data Lake ecosystem for a financial institution in Malaysia• Developed ELT workflows on Talend Real-Time Big Data Platform to ingest data from disparate sources to Apache Hive to create a centralized data repository to democratize data for all data consumers• Developed file “pre-check” workflows to verify file integrity and formatting prior to data ingestion• Developed job scheduling workflows to schedule ELT jobs and job logging logic to capture events during data ingestion• Documented requirements and approach to the solution in Functional Specification Document (FSD) and Technical Specification Document (TSD).
