CurrentMember of 10-person legal group providing all types of legal counsel to Hub Group. Lead counsel to subsidiary called Hub Group Trucking, a 3,000-truck motor carrier and one of the largest drayage companies in the US. Draft and negotiate a wide variety, and large volume, of complex commercial agreements for buy-side, sell-side, and strategic initiatives, such as vendor (services/products), licensing (on-prem and cloud), consulting, marketing, staffing, agent/commission, freight brokerage, and confidentiality agreements. Expertise in technology licensing and cloud computing (e.g., SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) agreements for tech forward company, addressing related issues such as data security, privacy, IT audit, and system redundancy concerns. Manage pre-litigation disputes and regulatory compliance matters. Draft corporate policies and develop and deliver training to internal legal and business personnel in areas such as Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and contract guidelines compliance. Primary attorney providing advice and counsel to Hub Group Mexico’s international operations. Manage legal department internship program which employs one or more legal interns year-round.
