Welding Engineer
Current❖ Generating and Qualifying WPS & PQR & WPQ by referring API & ASME & NACE standard and Code those are ASME B31.3, ASME SEC IX & II-Part A, B, C, API6A, API16A, NACE MR 0175, API 5L and client requirement.❖ Co-ordinate with TPI and Client for getting final WPS & PQR weld approval.❖ Responsible to Carryout Inspection in accordance with ITP / QCP and Project Specifications.❖ Inspection of incoming Bulk materials as per project requirements & STD. Confirm thematerial against the certificate.❖ Materials CS, AS, LTCS, Inconel, SS, Duplex & Super Duplex. Joint fit up and welding activities,to check the Pipe size, thickness, and Surface condition prior to fit/up. Review and verificationof Material certificates and Cutting Plans before Fabrication.❖ Identification of material and Heat Number stamp transfer.❖ Review of As- built Drawings, Monitoring Weld joint preparation.❖ Fit-up inspection, before / during/ after welding inspection and visual inspection.❖ Verification of pipe fittings and Piping Dimensions and approval of heat treatment procedures❖ Verify Welding Instruments / Equipment’s are calibrated as per project QA procedures andavailability of all the calibration certificates.❖ Monitoring of Pre Heat treatment before Welding, Check proper parameters as per WPS.❖ Control welding consumables and weld defect rate as per procedure❖ Welder Performance monitoring and taking corrective action, Monitor PWHT in specialrequirements.❖ Welder qualification based on the following standard API6A, API16A, ASME SEC IX & AWS D1.1.❖ Verification of PWHT & Brinell Hardness Testing inspection reports with respect to proceduresand Specifications. ❖ Monitor ongoing quality controls activities of the project like welding, NDT, weld fit-ups, visual and dimensional checking. Verify the agreed corrective actions to Non-conformance Reports❖ Evaluation of NDT results❖ Oversee the day to day fabrication, erection & testing activities within the parameters
