My responsibilities include, setting up CAD standards, best practice in CAD, customizing CAD software for most effective use, initial set-up of projects and training juniors to achieve best practice in CAD.Developing many APIs in C#.net for in-house use with softwares like TEKLA and REVIT. These APIs were created to use TEKLA and REVIT in the most effective way, thereby reducing the time taken for detailing and increasing the accuracy.

Responsible for developing and implementing innovative methods to utilize TEKLA structures to the ultimate extent to save time and money and at the same time maintaining accuracy, consistency and conforming to client’s design standards and specifications. Developing API’s in C#.NET for the most effective use of TEKLA structures, enabling the users to create structural models and apply connection details more efficiently within shorter period with utmost accuracy, ultimately saving a lot of time compared to conventional way of using TEKLA.

Setting up CAD system for projects being done in AutoCAD or REVIT Structure, creating families, worksets and instructions at the beginning of a project, to enable smooth, efficient and trouble-free flow of the project. Creating intelligent parametric families in REVIT Structure for efficient use. Responsible for preparing CAD standards and best practice for structural detailing in Hyder Consulting’s regional offices in the Gulf. Customising AutoCAD by developing Lisp routines to enable users to produce more accurate output, increase efficiency and save time while still conforming to company CAD Standards. Developed many Lisp Routines for detailing RCC, Steel and Post-tensioning elements in AutoCAD.

Leading and guiding the Structural CAD team in preparing detail drawings for Post-tensioned structures. Customizing AutoCAD with AutoLisp routines for most efficient and effective use of the software.
