o Ensuring all tax compliances wrt Direct and Indirect Taxes which majorly included:- • Filing of Monthly (GSTR-1 and 3B) and Annual GST returns and timely payment of Taxes • Filing of TDS returns and Issuance of certificates • GST Audit • Estimation and deposit of Advance Tax • Filing of Tax Audit, Transfer Pricing and Income Tax Return o Analyzing and ensuring maximum Input Tax Credit (ITC) permissible as per various tax laws by streamlining tracking in systems. o Implementation of various changes in law introduced from time to time like E-Invoicing, QR Code, TCS implementation on sale of electricity o Timely response to various notices requiring details/information by various Tax authorities o Meeting various Assessing Officers and Commissioners for closure of Tax assessment o Briefing Advocates for various matters for presentation before High Court, ITAT and APTEL level o Analysis and interpretation of various regulations issued from time to time by regulator for assessing its implications and challenging the same at legal forum like APTEL, High Court and Supreme Court. o Suggesting ideas to regulator while finalizing Business Plan Regulations to incentivize for efficiency in performance o Determine the profit drivers in regulatory framework where profit is not driven by revenues and suggesting ideas for improvement in bottom line o Various knowledge dissemination sessions across company for educating users about new changes in tax and regulatory laws impacting their work areas o Improvement of various processes like recording of GSTIN of retail consumer to enable them for taking Input tax credit (ITC), PAN etc. o Various knowledge dissemination sessions across company for educating users about new changes in tax and regulatory laws impacting their work areas o Continuous analysis of tax laws for finding various provisions enabling company to take deductions and save tax

Got developed a system for monitoring of compliance without any extra cost o Ensuring obtaining maximum rebate for earlier payment by arranging timely funds o Inspite of huge outstanding regulatory asset, ensured that cost of funds remains low and funds are available to ensure no default o Monitoring optimum use of surplus funds and minimum idle balance in accounts

This was achieved through extraction of data and analyzing reasons and then plugging system gaps. This helped in removing qualification in audit report o Accounting for sale of electricity to consumers, local taxes on electricity and payment of taxes as per timelines o Ensuring correct migration of data for around 2 million consumers from old oracle based billing system to SAP-ISU in the desired format o Bifurcation of electricity billing dues from consumers into pre and post privatization period which required extensive study and formulation of logics and getting it vetted from auditor.
