Overseeing three projects as a Business Analyst: MHARS Enhancement & Transformation (MET) Project, 365 Optimize OMH Applications Project, and Behavioral Health Authentication and Author (BHAAS) Project.MHARS is the Electronic Health Record system used at the Office of Mental Health (OMH). In the BHAAS Project, I gathered requirements and created wireframes for the Confidentiality Non-Disclosure Agreement (CNDA) webpage/application using MSVisio.For both BHAAS and MET projects, I wrote business requirements, defined data elements, developed use cases, and designed wireframes. The MET Project aims to update the aging infrastructure, and unsupported software, and incorporate business rules to avoid backend data changes.As a Business Analyst, I collaborate with the project manager, technical team members, and stakeholders to guide the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). I act as a liaison between stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts, eliciting, analyzing, communicating, validating, and verifying requirements for complex changes to business processes, policies, and information systems.To ensure successful implementations, I create as-is and to-be business process flows, aligning the software with OMH needs. I conduct requirements workshops and Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions with OMH subject matter experts.GAP analysis and As-Is To-Be analysis for Business Process Management (BPM) are part of my responsibilities. I provide clear artifacts to the development team and ensure they understand the requirements. Additionally, I produce artifacts required by ITS governance to support the project scope.

Responsible for enhancing existing reports for submission to states by business owners and creating new reports as needed. Additionally, I handle all regulatory work and standard operating procedures in contractual agreements with Indiana, Georgia, and Kentucky markets, covering all lines of business (LOB).Track regulatory progress based on state and business requirements. Collaborating with project managers, technical teams, and stakeholders, I guide the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).Working with other Business System Analysts and project teams, I identify and scope business problems, recommending the best approach. I negotiate and harmonize requirements through Service Level Agreements (SLA).Proficiently author various documents like Project Charters, BRDs, FSDs, SRS, SDS, and RTMs to standardize processes. Collaborating with vendors, I communicate requirements to the IT team based on SOW understanding.Convey end-users' demands to developers and support the Product Owner (PO) in defining MVP, DOD, and writing acceptance criteria. Using JIRA/TFS, I manage Epics, User Stories, and participate in scrum ceremonies.Assist the PO in writing Epics, communicating with the development team, and creating prioritized product backlogs. I also aid testers in developing test plans, and cases, and performing UAT.Overall, my diverse skills drive successful projects, meet regulatory needs, and foster collaboration among stakeholders.

During the project, I conducted interviews with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) using structured and unstructured questions to gain insights into the laboratory's business processes and workflow. Analyzing routine and batch lab testing from sample entry to report generation helped identify gaps between Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and actual procedures.To gather requirements, I facilitated sessions, including instrument interface requirement discussions and implementation sessions with the Product Owner (PO). This enabled a comprehensive understanding of available instruments, tests, procedures, standard codes, and regulations. Scrum ceremonies were attended, and I assisted the PO in writing epics, prioritizing user stories using JIRA, defining acceptance criteria, and framing the Definition of Done (DOD) for the Potentially Shippable Product Increment (PSPI).Key requirements for the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) were identified, assessed, and prioritized, focusing on documenting experiments with relevant scientific content, observations, instrument results, and attachments like spectra and chromatograms. I represented the system to the PO using Lucid Charts' use case and activity diagrams.In collaboration with the UI designer and lab analyst, I developed low-fidelity mockups and wireframes using Balsamiq. Additionally, I worked on data retrieval and processing, enhancing system flow through metrics and developing schemas.During testing, I supported the testers in creating test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business requirements and product knowledge. Furthermore, I assisted in performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure seamless integration between LIMS and the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).

The project focused on enhancing the Electronic Health Record (EHR) System to establish connections between hospitals, Fast Health Interoperability Resources (FHIR), and Decision Support System (DSS) in compliance with HL7 international standards, HITECH act, and HIPAA act. An As-Is To-Be analysis was conducted to identify gaps between the legacy system and the new EHR system. Document analysis and Business Process Reengineering (BPR) were performed, and Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) were created to understand the current processes and workflows of each department, including entities, instruments, and tests. Gap analysis was also carried out. Requirements were documented through JAD sessions and focus groups. Process workflows, Use-case diagrams, and Activity diagrams were created using Lucid Chart. The EHR system was aligned with the Decision Support System and Fast Health Interoperability Resources, maintaining EHR registries with information on diseases, procedures, medications, and codes for effective communication with pharmacy, insurance providers, and billing servers. Assistance was provided to the PO in writing Epics, communicating with the development team, and creating product backlogs using prioritization and slicing techniques. Face-to-face meetings with physicians helped understand clinical limits for health parameters, contributing to the development of a practitioner's alert module through GUI storyboarding. A quality plan and contingency plan were devised to prevent data loss during full data extractions. The user interface was mapped with the UI designer, implementing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) with Balsamiq.

I contributed to projects involving EDI Gateway, Claims Processing, and Customer Service applications, enabling efficient management of hospital and medical claims. I specialized in TransAmerica's Claims Processing system, handling requirements, analysis, design, testing, and project management. Proficient in EDI transactions 270, 271, 834, 835, and 837, I engaged with Claims, Payments, and Enrollment, streamlining business processes. Employed UML artifacts like Use Cases and Activity Diagrams as per RUP. Adept in SDLC methodologies, with a deep grasp of Facets and its data model. Expertise extends to Facets modules (Billing, Provider, Claims, Membership). I resolved requirement-related issues during testing, estimated test timelines and risks, and ensured proper test data analysis. Managed tasks, bugs, and user stories through JIRA.

Engaged in the initial planning and design phase. Used various techniques for efficient requirement understanding. Aided in creating Scope, BRD, FSD, RTM, cost-benefit analysis, and change requests. Developed Release Planning Document with overview and schedule. Assisted in detailed Product backlog creation as per IEEE 830 standards. Took part in sprint planning and Scrum Ceremonies. Contributed to data modeling, mapping, and integration. Supported testing phases and final solution deployment.
