Elucidating molecular and cellular mechanism involved in inflammatory skin disease using a necroptosis-dependent skin inflammation model (Caspase-8 epidermal knockout mice). Validating the role of pro-inflammatory molecules, which triggers inflammatory response in the context of keratinocyte necroptotic cell death.

Project entitled "Monitoring of minimal residual disease (MRD) and evolution of subclonal architecture during therapy for multiple myeloma (MM) by highly sensitive digital droplet PCR (ddPCR)"Designed and constructed a genetic biomarkers panel for targeted sequencing for monitoring minimal residual disease (MRD).Identified specific gene mutation variants for MRD in AML and MM patients.Experienced in working in a GLP compliant environment, designed and standardized experiment protocols, and executed experiments compiled data, and presented regularly during lab meetings and departmental seminars.Management of large amounts of clinical data and statistical analysis.Wrote SOPs for implementation and finished the projects within the timeline.

Obtained an independent research grant from the Department of Science and Technology, India for my post-doctoral research work ( National postdoc fellowship).Identified epithelial and mesenchymal stem cell sub-populations in squamous cell carcinoma of Head and Neck (SCCHN). Explored dual targeting of Hexokinase (2-deoxy-glucose) and VDAC (Erastin) in combination with cisplatin to induce non-apoptotic cell death (ferroptosis) in drug resistance cancer stem cells.Contributed to the development of research projects and funding applications for the lab.Management of research projects and finances.Co-supervised graduate and undergraduate trainees, Ph.D. students by managing their research projects

Drug Screening (in-vitro & in-vivo):Studied effects of some natural/synthetic agents for their anti-cancer activity in cancer cells. Explored the molecular mechanisms of actions of “Centchroman” a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) as an anticancer agent through inhibition of PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway in Head and Neck Cancer.Studied anticancer activity of Shikonin and explored associated signalling pathways (Reactive oxigen species (ROS) mediated endoplasmic reticulum stress (ER stress) leading to the inhibition of cellular proliferation and activation of the mitochondrial apoptosis) in Prostate cancer cells.Biomarker Study:Studied the clinical significance of hypoxia biomarkers in squamous cell carcinoma of head and neck (SCCHN) patients undergoing chemoradiation.
