I have done an M.Tech project on the Numerical modelling of a mini channel heat sink with heat transfer augmentation under laminar flow conditions. In this study Heat transfer augmentations are tested on nano fluid based mini channel heat sinks and the effects on the heat transfer and flow characteristics of nanofluid are studied by varying the particle volume concentrations of a general water based nanofluid in Ansys fluent. Two Phase Mixture model is used for the modelling of the nanofluid. Previous research works on the numerical modelling of nanofluid suggest that multi-phase mixture approach gives better results than single phase model approach thesis submitted.
