Vikas is an accomplished educator at the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, where he has been teaching Marketing and other business subjects for over 5 years. In addition to his academic role, he is a partner at X-PM Transition Partners, a leading player in Interim Management Services, and a founding member of the WIL Group. With an MBA from FMS, University of Delhi, Vikas has over 40 years of experience across diverse industries and functional roles. He began his career in 1980 in the shipping industry with SCI Ltd., where he was part of the navigating staff responsible for cargo management, logistics, and crew management. In 1985, he returned to academia and, after earning his MBA, joined Asian Paints. His career includes significant roles in FMCG companies such as Marico Industries and Benckiser India.In the Media & Internet industry, Vikas was instrumental in establishing CNBC in India during his tenure at TV18 India (now Network 18) and launched the Mantra Online Internet service at Bharti BT Internet. As an entrepreneur, he founded and served as CEO of www.khuljasimsim.com, an e-commerce website, and Cafe Networks, an ICICI Venture-funded company. He also founded The Colour Factory™, a unique leisure activity retail business.Vikas's extensive experience in the food & beverage industry includes heading operations at Barista Coffee and managing the India operations of IHC (Wah Restaurants – Birdy’s). He has also served as a director on the board of Smile Merchants, a rural healthcare company funded by Unitus Seed Fund, providing affordable dental care services to lower-income and BPL populations in small-town India.Vikas is a certified executive coach, and mentors young entrepreneurs on innovative projects. Vikas is also an angel investor and member of Lead Angels and VINners Value Investor Network.
