Responsibilities ; a)Purchasing of radiological equipments like, ultrasound and color doppler unit, Computed radiography system. b) Purchasing of consumable items of Radiology, like - radiography films, ultrasound thermal papers.c) Responsible for maintenance and repair of radiology equipments.

This is a private Nursing Home, with 3 bed ICU, 11 bed in-patient wards. Has emergency services, OBG, Medicine, Surgical,Orthopedic,Radiology and general OPD facility. Radiology has 300 mA X-Ray unit with CR(computed Radiography), Colour doppler ultrasound. Radiology offers: general abdominal,OBG scans, OB anomaly scans with 1st trimester Nuchal translucency, ductus venosus assessment. Anomaly scans at 18 to 20 weeks. Growth scans and Obstetric doppler. Small parts,musculoskeletal, sonomammography,neurosonography,Carotid,Renal & peripheral doppler studies, ultrasound guided FNAs, drainage procedures and Echocardiography.

Sonologist

Looking after the health of the team members ( Total 21 inwinter team), health check-up every 15 days and reporting them to the head office, NCAOR at Vasco, Goa, India.Maintenance of the hospital at Bharati station, preparing the inventory of the available medicines, equipments and preparing the requirement list of medicines & equipments.The main idea is to be one with the team, help them with logistic work, station maintenance duties including cleaning work on rotation basis. During summer accompany scientists, researchers during their field work as medical back up. The utmost important object is to uplift the morale & team spirit of the individual, team all the time and especially during winter when the sun does not rise for about two months.

My main area of work here is obstetric sonography, especially 16 to 20 weeks anomaly scans and Growth scans in third trimester.Also, abdominal ultrasound and interpretation of radiographs.

Worked as Tutor and later as Clinical assistant at Dept.of RadiodiagnosisSDM College of Medical Sciences & Hospital, Dharwad, Karnataka for 1 year 10 months.It is recognised by MCI (Medical Council of India) for medical undergraduate ( MBBS) training, also DNB accredited Institute for Radiology.The work included, Conventional radiology Ultrasonography and doppler CT ( dual slicel)Apart from general radiological work, there was special emphasis on, Head & Neck and Dental imaging.
