Worked in the team that launched PayPal in India: Calculating PayPal user's account balances using Multi-threading with minimal write operations to DB which is used by millions of customers across the world now using Microservices in Java. The task also involved switching the DB from Cassandra to Oracle where a separate batch was written for the migration of accounts.Authentication-based payment(CVV & 3DS) for PayPal's official iOS mobile app for Indian transactions. This was a completely new flow that was introduced to be compliant with the local regulations and involved end-to-end changes in backend APIs as well as the iOS application. Card confirmation by 3DS during Add Card for PayPal's official iOS mobile app for Indian cards. Automated test user creation using Parallel Programming(Actor model) in Node.js, creating thousands of accounts in a minute.

Created a Machine Learning(Hierarchical Naive Bayes & SVM) model that tracks social media posts on existing Indian e-commerce players to understand the local market. Developed an advanced version of sentiment analysis which identifies emotions based on the context of the post using a custom lexicon. The model was crucial in determining key business decisions based on actual customer feedback.
