Worked as an Open Source contributor in Carbondata project of Apache Software Foundation. Involved in development and improvement of Distributed Index Cache Server and Secondary Indexes to improve the query performance at terabyte scale data level.

Worked as a mentor to create various programming tasks from codebase and helped school students to solve assigned tasks. Google Code-In is a contest for pre-university students with the goal of encouraging them to participate in open source.

Extended the turtle block activity http://turtle.sugarlabs.org/ to allow multiple users to simultaneously work on the same code/text by enabling support for version control, forking and providing network access by using dulwich which is a python implementation of git and made code more robust.
