About Vinamrata Singal
Hi! I'm Vinamrata: a builder, coach, and writer. I'm on a mission to help create a more connected, empowered, and prosperous world, utilizing my talents in storytelling, building software, collaboration, analytical problem solving, teaching, and unpacking messy emotions. Specifically, these projects are giving me the most energy these days: 🤝🏽 Coaching: I coach high-achieving junior and senior PMs (esp those in chaotic/low-mentorship environment) to successfully ace their (messy) career transition. Whether you want to get into product, figure out your next move, or embrace strategic product leadership, I want to give you the tools, space, structure, insights, and validation to embrace what’s next. Please see my website below if you’re interested in working with me. 🛠️ Building: I'm a builder at heart. I love digging into and breaking down meaty, ambiguous customer problems, and solving them through research, data, and experimentation. I also love collaborating with smart, kind, and open people to ship software. My superpower lies in curiosity and communication: I love to understand how people arrive at their beliefs, and translate that into actionable insights. I'm actively exploring fractional product opportunities. 👩🏾💻 Blogging: I share essays about themes like messiness of career transition, embracing my authentic self, and lessons from my product career on LinkedIn and my Substack “The Next Chapter.” It’s a chance for me to show the realities of my current transition, while reflecting on lessons from my corporate product career. Subscribe below to get the latest posts!✍🏽 Screenwriting: I love to write scripts that explore questions around coming of age, especially at the intersection of late-stage capitalism, intergenerational trauma, and grief. My current dream is to write, produce, and direct a short film! Thank you for making it this far! If you’re looking for a more “official” bio of my product career, you can find it below. Prior to my sabbatical, I was a lead PM at Match Group, leading monetization & growth for the swipe apps and customer experience on Match. Prior to that, I was Head of Product at Landis (Sequoia-backed fintech startup), Senior PM at Propel (a16z backed), and PM at Thumbtack across the Monetization, Growth, and Search teams. My proudest accomplishment was launching the Providers Card at Propel for families on government benefits. I started my career as an APM @ Google, where I worked on the Chrome and Next Billion Users teams. I graduated from Stanford University in 2016 with a BS in Computer Science.
Listed skills include Java, C++, Ruby On Rails, Programming, and 29 others.
