Pawan Hans Ltd provides logistics support to Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) in transporting the off-shore personnel as well as Inter-Island Transport of residents in Union Territories. I have gained the experience in various aspects which includes – Base Maintenance such as assisting the Base Manager in various activities related to flying, Q.C, P&A, Local Purchase, maintaining account related transaction and Store maintenance(online). Since, I was appointed in a Base/Detachment; my major activity was also to maintain Bonded Store & POL Store. The activities of Store in a base includes too many activities like Issue/Receipt of Tools & Spares, Daily recording of Temperature & humidity, Dispatch/collection of spares to/from other detachments & WR, maintain Calibration record of local tools, also maintaining good PR with AAI for getting the desired permissions for smooth activities like taking in/taking out of local purchase, hired labor as well as helicopter spares.I’ve also gained knowledge in operational/flight dispatching activities such as Filing Flight Plans for sorties to various rigs of ONGC, taking ADC (Air Defense Clearance) & FIC (Flight Information Centre) over phone, preparing Load & Trim Sheet, liaisoning with Radio Officer in gathering weather and passenger related information of all the Rigs before/after the sortie, maintaining day-to-day Pilots hours, sending day-to-day flying reports as well as Q.C reports to Regional & Corporate Office.
