Encodex Technologies functioned as the incubation partner for Flexiworld Technologies. Responsibilities included • Project management of a 15-member team. Grew the team from 2 to 15.• Project Lead for Embedded Software development Developing a module that Bluetooth enables a Digital Camera. This provides for features like image push and pull from the Digital Camera, printing to any printer from the camera. • Product conception from a pool of 25 patents• 5 patents granted • Project Lead for Bluetooth application development. This required me to make decisions on the appropriate utilization of Bluetooth profiles and yet provide for value addition in Flexiworld products.• Interaction with partners for sourcing of components and technologies for Flexiworld products.• Technical Competitor Analysis for all Flexiworld products

• Develop a roadmap for server products based on parallel processing architectures such as Cradle • Designed 3 prototypes for PACE’s server roadmap; Active router, Stream Edge, Short Range wireless VOD system• Completed exploratory work for building Intellectual Property in the field of traffic engineering for multimedia transmission• Led a team of engineers through all phases of implementing a WMF/ISMA compliant streaming system.• Successfully designed and implemented a PC based Stream Server and Client using the RTSP and RTP (RTCP) streaming protocols. The client was designed to be easily portable to the OMAP (Texas Instruments) and XScale (Intel) platforms. • The implementation involved using MPEG-4 video and AMR speech codecs. • Designed and implemented a system for multimedia streaming from a PC to a Motorola 56K chip using a Bluetooth link. • Implementation involved experimenting with various Bluetooth stacks and picking the best stack based on performance.
