Identifies malfunctions, replaces components, maintains accurate records and safety logs, and coordinates aircraft care across multiple service levels and agencies. Works closely with maintenance crews to coordinate inspections, including pre, post, and in-flight inspections. Provides training for new and existing maintenance technicians, facilitating hands-on instruction to resolve skill gaps. MY IMPACT:- Key player in providing uninterrupted operations supporting global missions with allied nations; led troubleshooting and replacement of servo for helicopter critical to $30M counter narcotics operation in Asian-Pacific region. - Repaired multiple “down” aircraft critical to deployed operations: completed inverter switch replacement preventing number one engine from cranking, bringing plane back online to assist with US Border operations; volunteered after work hours to assist with installation of dual position transducer, preventing interrupted operations. - Led corrosion prevention, including 90-day corrosion inspection of helicopters and full refinishing of 87-foot patrol boat.- Earned Letter of Commendation for ensuring the safety and operational readiness of boat during extreme weather. - Drives cost savings and maintenance efficiency through accurate troubleshooting and repair of avionics systems; utilizes schematics to resolve AC/DC power distribution, open and short circuit faults in electrical systems, interoperability of multiple systems, flight management systems, aircraft environmental systems, and auto flight systems.
