Technical lead of on-market arrays related portfolio

• Provide business analytics for emerging issues related to Illumina products on the market.• The global point of contact for product support as a technical problem-solving SME of the $500M revenue Array portfolio in FY2017.• Create and lead a cross-functional team to sustain the DCP Code Library in the CRM, as well as a consolidated one stop for all Arrays related customer support.• Experience with SFDC (CRM), SAP, ERP, MES/PTS, EtQ structure for investigation, reporting, and dashboards.• Support different platform management teams (PMTs)—sequencing, IVD (VS NIPT), and array – through leading, managing, and assisting complex issue investigations (ECIs, CAPAs, SCARs) with cross-functional teams.• A customer support SME on mapping out customer support paths for various on-market partnership products.• Write and publish Field Service Bulletins (FSBs) for field corrective actions related to Illumina’s ECIs & CAPAs.• Certified training on Genome Analyzers (GAs), MiSeq, HiSeqX, NextSeq500/550, Tecan Evo, Hamilton (VeriSeq NIPT Solution), and Green Belt Six Sigma (UCSD Extension).• Experience with MS Excel Analysis Packs, NeuralTools, MS Access, PowerPoint, SQL, Tableau• Write and author post surveillance reports of new products and new -formulated reagents.• Contribute scientific research for two scientific publications related to HumanMethylation-450K and sequencing DNAs & RNAs.

I worked in Applied Genomics (aka Scientific Collaborations) group under Dr. Fan since I joined Illumina in 2008. There were some projects that I extensively involved:- Optimized Golden Gate Genotyping and Methylation assays (27K).- Technical and assay expertise of the Golden Gate Indexing (GGI) automation and LIMS development, launched in December 2009.- Assay and technical contribution to developing new HumanMethylation450 under project leader Dr. Bibikova, launched in December 2010.- Demonstrated optimization of new protocols (TruSeq and TruExome) for ovarian and gastric cancer FFPE samples to detect somatic mutations/biomarkers that led to Dx gene panels.- Explored and conducted high throughput experiment designs to use filter plates for purifying libraries and biotinylated oligos (TruSeq & TruExome).- Managed and processed samples from collaborators to sequencing data (Covaris, qPCR, cluster station, cBot, GAiix, etc.).-Contributed scientific research for two scientific publications related to HumanMethylation-450K and sequencing DNAs & RNAs.

• Extensive hands-on experiences with molecular & biology techniques to study new discovery drugs (Pamrevlumab – CTGF inhibitor in clinical 2 to treat chronic lung disease, pancreatic cancer, and DMD) with a market cap of $4.4B.• Collaborated with cross-functional groups on different research development projects.• Analyzed collected data and prepare presentations for departmental meetings.

• Instrumental in research development of Chromatin Immunoprecipitation (ChIP) protocol to launch the Affymetrix genome-wide tiling product 2006.• Leaded training the GeneChip Automation System (GCAS) to other employees as a technical system troubleshooting.

• Managed lab supply logistics and operation.• Demonstrated molecular techniques (RNA, DNA extraction from frozen organ tissues, cloning, tissue culture) to apply on different Affymetrix microarray products.• Contributed research results to different grant projects and six scientific publications.

• Extensive experience with Immunohistochemistry techniques and analyses by studying and treating various specific antibodies being generated from mice for expression and localization of presenilin (PS1&2) in human brain tissues leading to two scientific publications.
