Sales Support ExecutiveStena Line Freight Mar 2014 - Mar 2017Belfast, United Kingdom• A revenue-responsible role with significant customer interface; the main focus of this position is to personally manage and develop a commercial client portfolio of over 200 Freight accounts - each of which is projected to ship up to 500 freight units per annum. Central to the task is the requirement to establish ongoing profitable client relationships across the entire mix of Freight activity.• Generate new business opportunities, opening accounts and dealing with all rate negotiations, service issues and follow up.• Maintain customer data and prepare reports as required using a variety of MS Office systems in addition to Stena Line’s bespoke mainframe-driven applications.• Introduce Customer Support Systems to clients and guide them through using the systems so as to gain optimum commercial benefit.• Part of the testing and project development team for new and improved systems and systems updates within the Freight sector.• Liaising with Port staff and other Departments with regard to acceptance of customer orders and requirements ensuring that freight allocation take-up is maximised• Actively monitor usage compliance versus budget to ensure that actual usage meets planned expectation and falls within the rate matrix that has been applied to the account.• Continuously promote Stena Line Freight services across the entire route network to a broader audience.
