I have been growing as a person while working at Russ's Market as a service supervisor for over 3 years, and I have gained valuable skills during this time. I have learned how to work in a loose team, how to approach different customers depending on their needs, and how to handle each situation with a clear mind. These are all skills that were necessary to learn as a retail supervisor, and I am confident that these skills can be translated to other tasks.I am someone who can take instructions and order tasks into levels of importance. At Russ's Market, my store director often gave me instructions for what tasks must be accomplished for the day. Often though, there wasn't enough employees to allocate to every tasks that must be done at once, so it was necessary to learn how to determine which tasks were more important to be accomplished rapidly, and which can be left until earliest convenience.I am looking to learn how to handle tasks on a greater scale. I am given the ability to make little decisions based on my discretion to ensure customer satisfaction, but nothing more than that. I would like to learn what must be considered when making decisions that may impact a group of individuals, such as a team or department. Listening to those individuals and their concerns, and making a decision that takes into account all of their worries is something that I would love to learn!With my desire to accommodate affected individuals in a decision, I believe that I would fit well in a managerial role. Rather than making abrupt decisions, I have the mindset that it is best to discuss in a civilized manner in order to reach the best possible outcome.
