Currently working on the high-precision laser spectroscopy of ultracold helium ions to test the validity of the Standard Model of Particle Physics, and on measuring the proton-to-electron mass ratio with very high accuracy using spectroscopy of cold molecular ions. These research projects involve state-of-the-art frequency metrology, ultrafast lasers, frequency combs, optical parametric amplification (OPA) and soft X-ray production techniques.Organizer of weekly group meetings and of joint meetings at the Quantum Metrologyand Laser Applications group (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam), at the Advanced Research Center for Nanolithography (ARCNL, Amsterdam) and at the Quantum Gases and Quantum Information group (University of Amsterdam). Member of the Vrije Universiteit colloquium committee that organizes public lectures of outstanding speakers from several fields of research.

PhD in physics at the University of Amsterdam (Netherlands), in the RbSr laboratory of the Quantum Gases and Quantum Information research group.I investigated the formation of a new type of ultracold molecule, never produced in a laboratory, that have very important applications in the fields of quantum simulation and quantum computing. In a small but dedicated team of researchers, I developed experimental methods to cool down atoms close to absolute zero and to manipulate them at the quantum level.My research project involved building and operating complex laser and electro-optics systems, designing physics experiments and gathering/processing complex experimental data. Teamwork, team management and student supervision were also essential components of this scientific journey.
