The role required that I act in an advisory capacity for Health Project Services, a NSW based property management company that sought to acquire interest in small, day or short-stay hospitals. I assisted HPS in identifying and evaluating such prospects. I also advised HPS on opportunities around vertical integration.

Knox Private Hospital is a large facility in Wantirna, Victoria. The hospital provided a broad range of acute services, including a busy emergency department. As General Manager, I had overall responsibility for the qualitative and quantitative outcomes to be delivered by the service. This included the quality outcomes, budgetary performance and importantly stakeholder engagement - specifically staff, patients and visiting medical personnel.

I was the designated CEO for a new Rehabilitation and Women's Hospital in Abu Dhabi. The hospital was in development during my tenure with key outcomes achieved being the attraction of investors, development of a business plan, establishment of strategic plan and human resource manual.

I held a variety of jobs at Epworth HealthCare but most significantly, the Executive Director at both Epworth Eastern and the Rehabilitation and Mental Health service. The role at Eastern commenced 12 months after the hospital opened and the improvement in both qualitative and quantitative outcomes was profound during my tenure. At the Rehabilitation and Mental Health service, I successfully oversaw the greenfield establishment of the mental health service and took the organisational culture to one of Blame to Success in successive staff surveys.
