Coordinate medications that are high costs used to treat patients with specialized diseases requiring complex treatment and coordinated care. Conduct benefit investigations for prescribed drug with patients insurance to advocate for prior authorizations, appeals, and financial assistance. Research grant opportunities for patients who may qualify.● Coordinate specialty medication financial assistance enrollment (copay cards, patient assistance programs, etc) for eligible patients; assisting in the miscellaneous coordination and follow up with providers and MM specialty pharmacy to ensure timely access to specialty medication therapy.● Obtaining detailed prescription insurance information to adjudicate claims● Communicate complex pharmacy benefit insurance and financial information relating to specially medications to patients and internal and external customers, as appropriate.● Evaluate patient-specific medication, insurance, and financial situations and provide counseling relating to coverage terms, benefits, and related requirements● Assist eligible patients in perusing access to manufacturer and extended coverage options● Troubleshoot and resolve complex pharmacy benefit billing issues associated with specialty medications

Provide exceptional effecient customer service to patients and representatives regarding their bills. Respond in a timely matter to inquiries made via mail, fax, e-mail, and face to face. Research accounts for accuracy of charges, reimbursement, payment posting, and insurance billing. Resolve insurance errors and coordination of benefit issues so that bills are submitted to insurance properly.
