Coordinate medications that are high costs used to treat patients with specialized diseases requiring complex treatment and coordinated care. Conduct benefit investigations for prescribed drug with patients insurance to advocate for prior authorizations, appeals, and financial assistance. Help coordinate sharing of information between the Patient Financial Counselors and the Customer Service department so that we are all on the same page and providing consistent information to the patients and our customers. Assisted in re-constructing the dedicated drive for Patient Financial Counselors where they could access for tips and other information pertaining to their job duties.

Provide exceptional effecient customer service to patients and representatives regarding their bills. Respond in a timely matter to inquiries made via mail, fax, e-mail, and face to face. Research accounts for accuracy of charges, reimbursement, payment posting, and insurance billing. Resolve insurance errors and coordination of benefit issues so that bills are submitted to insurance properly. Help patients find financial assistance with billing rather it be Charity Care, Medicaid, or other programs available to patient. Provide estimates for our self pay population for upcoming visits and procedures.

Provide exceptional efficient customer service to patients and representatives regarding their bills. Efficient in PCI compliant credit card processing. Interact with physicians, clinical areas, insurance companies, and department billing units to resolve patient inquiries. Assist walk-in patients with billing questions.

Communicate with patients to obtain their demographic and insurance information prior to their appointments. Provide quality and efficient customer service.
