Our team successfully collected the data from multiple sources, validated and transformed them to be usable for Survival Analysis. - Being on board with a 100-year French Life insurer as Prevoir Life was one of the remarkable milestones in my career. As a team lead, I managed a team of five experienced analysts and took the role of a project manager for strategic projects of the finance and actuarial department. During three years, our team conducted statistical analysis on customer behaviours and economic factors to replace the outdated premium calculation assumptions, developed new pricing models, worked with sales teams and marketing teams to design competitive product features. As a result, the profit margin of the new policies is increased by 2%.- Aiming to rank among the top 5 life insurers in Vietnam, Prevoir Life Vietnam joined forces with Mirae Asset Fund company to launch a joint corporation. I was honoured to be a member of the project team who provided profit and reserve projections for this M&A transaction. - Under the new name Mirae Assert Prevoir Life Insurance, MAP Life focused on developing its sales forces, expanding over 10 new sale offices across the country and continued to successfully expand its partnership with financial institutions, including National Commercial Bank, Mirae Asset Finance Company and F88 Business JSC. To support this growing business, my team and I worked with the operation, and IT teams to develop business processes for those channels, developed financial models and created KPIs to monitor their financial health.

Joining Manulife as Senior Actuarial Data Analyst, I was assigned to manage Alternative Sales Channels ( including Digital Insurance Distribution Channel, Bank Distribution and Telesales). When working with a new channel, the biggest challenge was that I had to build everything from 0. However, this difficulty gave me chances to work closely with talented people from all departments, including sales, marketing, IT. Not only developed new pricing assumptions and established business processes for these channels, but also I was proud of launching the Flexible Group Term Insurance Product, which Manulife has been using to penetrate new markets.
