I am an alumnus of University of California Los Angeles, where I majored in Biochemistry and researched HIV-1 drug resistance. I started my PhD in the Yale Combined program in the Biological and Biomedical Sciences before transferring to the UC Berkeley PhD Chemistry program. Currently, I am conducting research in Patrick Hsu's lab to apply machine learning tools to CRISPR-Cas protein engineering. Over the years, I have built skills in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell line engineering, protein engineering, and machine learning. During my PhD, I have had experience constructing large gene libraries, developing biological pooled assays, and building machine learning models.
