Co-founder and CTO of a consumer internet company focused on search inside pictures; the company runs http://www.like.com, a visual search-based shopping site for soft goods such as handbags, shoes, jewelry, watches and clothing.Currently involved on the board since I'm now at a VC firm, BlueRun Ventures, that invested in Riya.

 Managed a distributed product management and software development team (Bay Area and Bangalore) Responsible for all performance-related features of the Oracle Database. Worked on Oracle9i Database Release 2 and Oracle Database 10g and drove a 28% increase in product performance.  Planned and oversaw execution of all published performance benchmarks at Oracle for Database, Application Server, SAP, PeopleSoft and Oracle Applications.  Guided Oracle from a lagging position in Database and Application Server benchmarks to world records in TPC-C, TPC-H, ECPerf and SPECjAppServer benchmarks  Keynote speaker at Oracle customer events Responsible for Oracle’s technology relationship with SAP, PeopleSoft, Siebel and SAS with the goal of increasing usage of Oracle Database by customers of these ISVs.  Represented Oracle to the media on Performance issues – e.g., see http://www.sys-con.com/author/?id=4282

- Developed business plan for a system management software company, specifically targeting operations management at large service providers and IT shops. - Investigated market size, product requirements and competition - Helped raise $1M from angel investors and launched Karient.- Wrote functional specification of Karient v 1.0n Presented Karient vision to early adopter customers and secured four development partners, including a Fortune 500 financial services firm- Pitched Karient to the venture community and helped secure $3M in Series B funding

- Conceived and brought to market Corio eMarket, the first integrated hosted software suite for B2B marketplaces. - Developed solution profile, negotiated with and integrated ISV partners, helped close first two customers, launched the solution offering and transitioned it to Corio Sales. Corio, a leading Application Service Provider, used this software to move from a manual, one-off customer deployment model to standardized, easily replicated operations, reducing costs as well as operational errors- Hired and managed a team of 18 developers and product managers

- Led a consulting practice focused on enterprise application architecture, focusing on multi-billion dollar accounts in the Manufacturing sector. Clients included Cisco Systems, Motorola, GE, Honeywell and Sun Microsystems.- Successfully delivered projects costing several million dollars and employing up to 100 people drawn from Oracle, the client and third-party vendors
