One of the leads of the 99 passenger iOS application, the biggest competitor of Uber in Brazil and first Brazilian unicorn. During my time in the company my most challenging goal was to rewrite the whole app in Swift with a well defined, scalable and testable architecture. Me and my team believed this was the way to go if we wanted to compete such a qualified player as Uber.We successfully released a entirely new app where we were able to:- Unit test all layers of the application.- Easily change any application flow.- Easily add new flows to the application.- Create A/B tests.- Turn features on and off from Firebase dashboard.- Share code between any target of the iOS environment (watchOS, tvOS, OSX)- 99%+ crash free application.

The project had support from the Technology Center of the University of Brasilia, enabling our team to get in touch with startup makers from from many different places. The focus on the technical features and negligence on sales drove the project to an end but gave us some knowledge of how to not run a business and also improved our network.
