I am currently a student at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and will be graduating in August of 2015 with a bachelors degree in Communication studies. I am highly interested in working in the animal welfare and rights system and making a positive impact. I have been a long standing supporter of PETA, and live by their mission; thus I firmly believe with the high interest and the in depth education I will have a lot to offer any organization in direct correlation. Throughout my education and volunteer experience I have obtained a multitude of skills such as event management, conflict resolution, intercultural and business communication. As well as environmental awareness, applying professional dialogue, developing and retaining contracts and client satisfaction which are directly useful in regards to positions in PR for animal related issues, in order to achieve strives. Most of my volunteering process has greatly improved my knowledge and will serve as a fantastic foundation for further development. My experience with the Wake County Animal Shelter has given me a vast amount of knowledge on animal related funding, conflict resolution, process, and procedures. My WYCA experience has increased and expanded my knowledge on inter-relational, multicultural, and environmental communication. Within the related positions I will be able to utilize my strong communication skills alongside my technical skills as listed.
