I am currently working as an Early Childhood Education Teacher. With my degree in Conservation & Resource Studies with a minor in Education, I focus on outdoor education, community engagement, accessibility and equity, indigenous interactions with nature, and public land management. All in all, I am passionate about connecting people with nature, especially youth. I have experience leading teenage crews in State and National Parks with The Conservation Corps, managing teenage employees in several different settings, and of course classroom experience as a preschool teacher. I believe in the transformative power of nature to educate, uplift, and heal— and that needs to be an opportunity accessible for all.

Operations LeadHopkins Public Schools Mar 2021 - Aug 2021Minnetonka, Minnesota, United StatesDeveloped and implemented a new district-wide academic support program, Royal Connections (RC), as a response to COVID-19 challenges. Work includes managing over 50 employees and their assignments, implementing organizational methods, and grant writing.RC started spring of 2020 as the need for academic support grew exponentially with the pivot to distance learning; this pivot created many challenges, but also created opportunities for flexible learning environments. RC expanded outward from the high school, to the entire E-12 system including extended hours and non-school days. With the ability to hire RC Instructors and offer flexible, no-cost academic support, the program further expanded to fill teachers’ requested classroom needs; RC Instructors assist with lessons, read to scholars, provide remedial 1:1 support, and more. There is also a high need for tutoring within our district’s English Language Learner program (ELL). Peer tutoring can provide a safe space for ELL scholars to practice English with personalized support that is implausible in a regular classroom setting, while making an early connection to another Hopkins scholar to foster a more connected and inclusive community. -
