Violeta Dimić is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Information Technology at Alfa BK University in Belgrade. She received a BSc and MSc from the University of Nis, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, and worked there as a Research Assistant until 2002. She received her PhD in Engineering and Computer Science at the Singidunum University in Belgrade. She worked at MB University in Belgrade as an Assistant Professor until 2023.At the beginning of her scientific research, she dealt with composite materials in which she compared the same properties experimentally via theoretical models and used them in converter systems applications. Later, her research interests span both Computer Architecture and Simulation. Much of her work has been on improving the understanding and performance of Information Systems Design. In the WWW arena, she has worked on characterizing Web programming. She has explored the multicriteria analysis in ICT implementation for smart cities. She has also investigated the implications of Renewable Energy Sources for the adjustable model of the sustainable development project. In addition, she has made numerous contributions to multicriteria decision-making and modeling and has examined the prioritizing and ranking of indicators for the "smart" city model.She partook in the project "Information and Communication Technologies in the Service of Student Competitions" (phases 1, 2014. and phase 2, 2015.), the Ministry of Foreign and Internal Trade and Telecommunications. She is an author of teaching entire courses: "Moodle and Android platform in the organization and implementation of student competitions" and a mentor in the preparation of student papers for "IEEESTEC - Student project conferences.
