This role is also responsible for ensuring quality through each step of the process. An important aspect of the job is to ensure the roastery runs efficiently this requires measuring production performance to identify Key performance Indicators and help create strategies towards continuous improvement. I also created internal incentives to engage existing employees, as well as building new roles within the department to increase efficiency and quality.
Welding Instructor
I entered a 6 month contract with AIDT where I partnered with the Welding and Fabrication department of Polaris to teach a pre-hire weld training course for potential new employees. It was a 15 hour course. For a 2 hour portion I taught safety training, powerpoint presentations and descriptions of the role, then facilitated a 2 day workshop with hands on weld-training and assessment of the applicants cognitive skills, ability to do the required welding, and overall suitability for the role. I reported directly to Polaris' in house weld instructor who would then approve or deny the applicant based on the work shown.

At Bodega I was the first point of contact for all customer interactions with the company's e-commerce platform. I utilized multiple internal customer and internal platforms ( eg: Shopify, Gorgias, ShipStation, Lightspeed Retail, Basecamp, UPS, USPS, and Slack) to solve order issues, track lost packages, provide product/stock information, and ensure customer satisfaction and retention. During my time at Bodega I also recovered over $200,000 of company money through spearheading the company's chargeback documentation and recovery program. This involved working closely with the company accountant and submitting documentation of charged back orders across Shopify, Amazon pay, PayPal, as well as controlling all internal documentation of these issues.
Shop Manager
At Alchemy Coffee I oversaw all team scheduled, built written company training processes, led through example with superior customer service, spearheaded task management and delegation, and ensured product quality of all goods sold.
