Operational Specialist
Current• Provide feedback to Operational Manager and or Regional Manager on the risk status of Companies/Individual • Keep up to date with all relevant trends and key risk areas in the industry an cover all major aspects of risks • Identify, extract and analyse all relevant information to identify high risks for the clients and estimate the potential revenue at stake • Examine particular business or sphere of business and each technical process therein to identify and document the associated risk.• Risk Monitoring• Completing concise reports/Risk Assessments to inform and help priorities Customs activities• Clearly communicate key risk areas• Acquire, develop and analyse data and interpretation of results and presentation of formal research reports• Liaise with various organizations (NRCS, CSIR, etc.) for the procurement of professional or expert opinions and/ or analysis of products (electrical, mechanical. Chemical, textile, rubber, plastic or otherwise)• Conduct extensive internet searches• Collecting, analysing, verifying and manipulating research (Customs) data• Extensive Tariff research in order to qualify products for tariff classification.
