Virginia completed her Juris Doctor degree at Paul M. Hebert Law Center at LSU and is now working as a Tennessee-licensed attorney in Nashville. Her experience and passions include healthcare, intellectual property (especially trademarks), privacy, and other business transactions. During her time at LSU Law, Virginia was the 2018 Co-Champion of the LSU Transactional Competition, which required drafting, editing, and negotiating a merger agreement. Virginia also received the highest grade in each course for the papers she wrote for two seminar classes. The first, which she wrote for her Advanced Topics in Healthcare Seminar, is entitled "The 'Principal Purpose' Driven Life: How Hospitals Should Apply ERISA’s Church Plan Exemption After Advocate v. Stapleton," and the second, which she wrote for her Corporate Governance Seminar, is entitled "Bit by Bit: How Companies Should Proceed Before Offering Cryptocurrencies as Executive Compensation." Both of these papers have now been published in legal journals on opposite ends of the US.Virginia served as a Senior Editor for Volume VI of the LSU Journal of Energy Law and Resources, and had her paper about the interpretation of the TRIPs Agreement as it relates to environmental law published. During her time at LSU, she completed over 235 hours of volunteer and pro bono work with the Public Interest Legal Society, and served as both the Community Service and the Pro Bono Chair.Virginia earned her BBA degree from Baylor University, majoring in Marketing and Entrepreneurship. There, she served as President of Baylor Business Women, chaplain of Delta Sigma Pi, and owner of her own photography business, V.Brown Photography. During her undergraduate years, she worked at Baylor University and Pine Cove Camps and interned for Q2 eBanking in the marketing department. Virginia is creative, organized, and driven.Virginia is from DeRidder, LA, and is currently living in the Music City.
