NuVoodoo Media is an agency that specializes in Digital, Social Media, and Email Marketing, with an entire division dedicated to market research, both for our clients, but also for themselves so we had better insights into the target consumer. Data drove our decisions and recommendations to our clients. In this role, I led a brilliant department as we worked to achieve our clients' goals. A recent example included a drinkware client that saved 20% in spend since we took over their marketing, while generating 10% more D2C revenue in the same period. That same client experienced an incredible 500% ROAS during the holidays, even asking us to pause their campaigns because their distribution center was unable to keep up with demand.

As an integral member of the marketing department, I managed our non-media business and helped develop new product and service offerings for our clients to maintain their competitive edge in marketing.

In July 2011, Merlin Media formed and I was asked to come in on a consulting and strategic basis to help get the company off the ground. In May 2012, we acquired and launched a third Chicago signal (WKQX-LP, through LMA). After considerable success, including beating our 6-month ratings projections in the first 90 days, Cumulus purchased the Merlin stations and moved Alternative back to 101.1. Since that time, the accolades have been numerous, including #1 in all male demos under 55, #1 P18-34, #5 P25-54, a passionate social following, and unprecedented qualitative audience stats.

In this position, I oversaw a massive, company-wide music initiative, and when not doing that, was focused on raising the floor of any user experience in the company I could get my hands on. Worked very closely with the User Experience team, Sales, developers, and senior management on multiple projects at any given time, all the while maintaining my role as a consumer evangelist.
