A highly motivated mathematics PhD graduate with extensive programming experience in Python, C++, and C#. Solid knowledge of the foundations of quantitative analysis, the valuation of underlying securities across various markets, and the pricing of derivatives using multiple valuation models. Looking to combine my mathematical knowledge with my interests in financial markets, to apply my skills to drive successful outcomes.I have developed a strong interest in financial mathematics and, in particular, the application of stochastic differential equations governing Brownian motion to the evolution of stock prices. I am well versed in random processes, the Black-Scholes equations, and Wiener processes. Much of my initial experience has been made concrete through reading the eleventh (most recent) edition of “Options, Futures, and Other Derivatives” by John C. Hull and supplemented with the LinkedIn Learning courses “Financial Modelling Foundations” as well as “Algorithmic Trading and Stocks Essential Training”.I continuously track markets across Equities, Rates, Credit, and Commodities as well as spending time looking at various derivatives and structured products. During my research career, I have developed a passion for applying the various mathematical models and techniques to the investigation of the physical world. Despite the mathematical beauty of quantum field theory, I have long desired to tackle tangible real-world problems that are more pertinent to the here and now. This has led me to pursuing a change of career into quantitative analysis. I can demonstrate all the key competencies required for a successful career in quantitative analysis, including programming skills, mathematical aptitude, and a deep knowledge of financial theory. I have comprehensive experience with several programming languages, including C++, C#, and Python. Furthermore, I possess a rigorous knowledge of the fundamentals of computing including algorithms, data structures, and concurrency, in addition to the abstract mathematics that underpins computing such as linear algebra.
