Tyco Inventory Management App (Java)• Designed and developed an enterprise Android application for Tyco’s RFID inventory management system.• Built the interface to several serial-connected and Bluetooth connected industry leading RFID readers and the REST client to interface with the Enterprise inventory management system.• Built all the UI to drive several business-critical workflows and the business logic behind the workflows. The workflows included rapid inventory counting with custom business rules, geolocation of specific products in the showroom, RFID tag encoding and management, etc. • Built the concurrency and multi-threading model to handle over 5 million RFID tags at once in the Android device while handling data streamed from the RFID readers and the data streamed from the enterprise server, to achieve stringent response times required to support a seamless user experience.• Worked closely with the Product Management team to nail down customer requirements, and the QA team for customer acceptance testing and delivery of the product. Interfaced with a team in Europe for custom modifications to the product required by specific customers.RFID SDK for iOS (Objective-C, Swift)• Developed an RFID SDK for iOS that allowed third-parties to develop custom iOS applications on top of Tyco’s RFID inventory management system.• Built the APIs for Bluetooth communication with an RFID reader, processing of RFID tags, and management of all communication with the back-end server using REST web services.• Developed a sample iOS application that provided examples of how to use the SDK and its APIs.
