Reporting to the Manager Operations, My responsibilities include but are not limited to:1. Handle referrals from Claims Support and Handlers and other team members by adopting a coaching style in the referral process, allowing them to work above their authority, under guidance. Through the referral process, identify cases appropriate for upward referral. 2. Motivate, support and guide team members identifying training needs and ensuring the provision of training. 3. Liaise with underwriters to ensure proper interpretation and application of policy wordings and appropriate knowledge transfer.4. Handle personal caseload proactively to achieve efficient and competitive settlements ensuring claims are properly reserved and that un-pursued claims are settled in accordance with settlement guidelines.5. Keep up to date with insurance affairs in India and the UK by reading trade press and discussing with peers.
