With the communities of cultural interaction and communicational network having progressed and found acceptance widely in the community Enable India found it logical to devout a full vertical of its operations to this aspect and called it ENABLE COMMUNITY. ENABLE COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP WITH VOLUNTEER NETWORKS ACROSS INDIA By virtue of its being a community-driven activity, enable community is largely driven by a network of volunteers across the country. Enable Community’s activities are supported by various volunteer-driven organizations like Youth for Seva, Smileys, Nirmaan etc.With the efficient support of Enable India, this volunteer network has started giving excellent results. The experience of Enable India in developing an inclusive environment is helping these networks of volunteers to scale the inclusion activity across the country. Being a thought leader, Enable India conceptualizes inclusive models aligned to the empowerment of persons with disability which can be used by any volunteer group or individual to support persons with disability in their community. Enable India’s community initiatives aims at empowering volunteer organizations and groups to work with disability sector by running inclusive chapters. Enable India focusses on leaving the partners with their identity and having autonomy to evolve the community by following basic values of Enable India

Conceptualization, Creation Execution and Sustaining the movement comes under the role of Community specialist. The Finger Chat Community:The Rights of persons with disabilities act 2016 lays stress on inclusion of persons with disabilities in the mainstream. It emphasises the need for accessibility. The challenge inaccessibility becomes harder with increase in the number of disabilities from 7 to 21. With such a huge number of persons coming under the umbrella of the RPWD Act the accessibility has become a serious issue. The act aims at providing High Support to persons requiring such a support within the disability population. High support is defined as support required to include certain members of disability population who require special attention in their communication etc. It is the support required by a visually impaired in terms of Braille for communication, or sign language by a hearing impaired and much more. Sign language is the language used by persons with hearing impaired. Since the larger population would normally not understand and learn sign language the hearing-impaired community, remains excluded and confined to communication within their group. Having understood the need for including the hearing impaired Enable Community took a bold step of popularising sign language by teaching it to the members of the community at Bangalore. This activity of popularising sign language through community learnings was named FINGER CHATS. Finger Chats spread into 3 cities within a month. This activity has been widely received by the young and old and has been commented upon by the print , audio and visual media in India and abroad.
