The project driven as a Project Manager from Tech Mahindra was for India's largest Bank i.e. State Bank of India (SBI). SBI GLS is a worldwide remittances platform catering to both inward as well as outward remittances. The major bifurcation of Rupee and Non Rupee applications facilitate fast remittances through various flavors of remittance modes including NEFT, IMPS, Direct Credit and SWIFT. A majority of the transactions originate from Exchange Companies in the middle east and hence coordination with the stakeholders forms the prime focus of the project.• Being the first point of contact for gathering inputs from SBI for new requirements and process flow changes owing to compliance regulations. Being a critical technology centric stakeholder entrusted with driving innovations and scalability of the application in the face of dynamic regulatory as well as business requirements.• Being the technical evangelist to nurture and support on-boarding of new Exchange companies into using the GLS platform.• Ensuring maintenance and upkeep of the application 24x7 and convene an all hands on board approach in case of network outages and deployments.• Grooming the 35-member team to understand the requirement and work towards reusable aspects in code.• Working on analyzing and introducing latest technological advances into the legacy aspects of the project with customer approval.• Driving the organizational push for automation by highlighting the avenues for saving FTE efforts. One such push towards bank commission posting monitoring automation undertaken by me has been well received by the organization as well as the bank.• Report to the Tech Mahindra management regarding the team’s progress and review the governance aspects and ensure compliance to process audits.• Comprehensive involvement in T&M project execution and ensuring optimal utilization of resources.

This project undertaken with Intellect Design Arena caters to two of United Kingdom’s leading banks Barclays and Lloyds Banking Group. A daily transaction flow of close to one lac per day, worth billions of pounds is controlled by this product. This product can be summarized as a decision making system which accepts funds request transactions from corporate customers across the globe and calculates decision on factors such as limit availability and cutoff time.• Being the primary point of contact between the Bank’s development and support team and assess the reported incidents and strategize their mitigation.• Escalation management to ensure meeting of SLA’s when production issues are reported by clients support team. This involves quick analysis of issues and an equally fast turnaround. Exposure to tools like Wily and their understanding, essential to track performance of high load bearing applications catering high value payments.• Orchestrating the vital periodic product version upgrades and ensuring the application is up within the stipulated time of 48 hours. Such activities involve marshalling the resources with accuracy and extensively plan all eventualities as well as monitoring the application post these changes.• Overseeing the coordination with a framework team on top of which the product is built periodically to ensure addressing defect backlogs and new requirements.• Driving the monthly governance calls both with the customer and the internal process management to present the decks detailing project health. • Identifying avenues of newer change requests which can be suggested to the customer thereby generating revenue possibilities for Intellect.• Mentoring resources in terms of domain and conducting and planning the daily activities of the 20-member team. Responsibilities as a Software Engineer involved:-Working in the Agile methodology to iterate over and improve versions of the product.-Scope of improvement is brought about by regular test cycles and periodic releases. This involves custom developments of plugins to facilitate customized access to the underlying content management systems.-Client interaction for demonstrating the connector functionalities to new clients.- Donning the role of a product evangelist, developer as well as requirements gatherer at the same time.
